Empowered, Informed, and Victorious!

On Saturday, September 12, 2026, Families Fighting Hereditary Cancer (FFHC) joined forces with the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center for our Second Annual Cancer Prevention Community Forum: "When We Fight We Win!" Anchored in our core belief that prevention is better than a cure, this free community forum brought together families, previvors, clinicians, and researchers for a day filled with empowerment, education, and fun.

Building on data from our first cancer prevention forum in 2025, the goal to transition from simply raising awareness to delivering a fully actionable, interactive day of prevention was achieved. Held at the Michels Center for Cancer Discovery, new experiences were added to bridge the gap between high-level laboratory research and community-level preventative health. The event featured empowering personal testimonies, interactive expert presentations on building your healthcare team and managing anxiety, a healthy cooking demonstration, movement sessions, and tours of both active cancer research labs and the nation-leading Screening For Life mobile clinic.

Our reach extended across Greater Milwaukee and beyond. Attendees filled the venue with incredible energy, engagement, and shared commitment to proactive health. Post-event survey evaluations indicated high attendee satisfaction and deep engagement across all sessions. Planning for the 3rd Annual Forum on September 18, 2027 is already underway. Mark your calendars!
