Demystifying Hereditary Cancer & Genetics: Dr. M. Faizon Ali, Primary Care Physician, Hospitalist and Hereditary Cancer Specialist at Froedert Hospital will discuss how genetics impact your risk and practical strategies for patients to best form a collaborative, proactive healthcare team with your primary physician.
Map Your History: Create your own family cancer history tree with hands-on assistance from MCW Genetics students.
Beating "Scanxiety" & Mental Wellness: An interactive session to gain concrete tools for managing the emotional stress of cancer screenings and prophylactic treatment led by Dr. Lyndsey Wallace, Board-Certified Clinical Health Psychologist and Associate Professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Risk-Reducing Nutrition Demo: Enjoy a live cooking demonstration focused on clean, plant-based nutrition with chef and cancer survivor Amberlea Childs of Plant Joy Deli.
Risk-Reducing Physical Exercise: Participate in an invigorating line dancing session and enjoy a high-energy Double Dutch jump rope demonstration led by nurse and cancer survivor Angela Scott of Get Dance Waisted.
